Hi,

i have just paid £500 deposit towards a 1.3 tamura 3dr - spritted green and looking forward to taking the delivery in March (for 10 plates). I have a few questions which you people will be able to answer:

is it a good deal for £8700 on scrappage?
Does the Tamura come with onboard computer to tell the fuel consumption, etc?
Why don't we see any Mazda2 's in uk? I have only seen one on the raod? Are they not selling or what?
The stock stereo and speakers are pretty weak, has anyone upgraded to aftermarket speakers?

Thanks.

[UPDATE]
Changed colour to Radiant Ebony as its a new colour (came in 2009) as opposed to Spritted Green which came out in 2007. I hope I made a wise decision. Smiley

Hi and welcome aboard  Smiley

Not sure about the deal you got, I would just say that the main thing is that you are happy with it.  The Mazda website has the 3dr Tamura at just over £11000 so you got a bit of a discount too, depending on any p/x etc

Does the Tamura come with onboard computer to tell the fuel consumption, etc?  Don't think so, I believe that that is just on the Sport.

Why don't we see any Mazda2 's in uk? I have only seen just one on the raod? Are they not selling or what? I see more now than a year or so back.  The floorpan is the same as the Fiesta and they are far too common!

The stock stereo and speakers are pretty weak, has anyone upgraded to aftermarket speakers? I'm happy with what it comes with, so can't help you there.

I added speakers in the rear doors as they didnt have any as standard on the TS. I also fitted a 10" sub, 600W amp and Pioneer multimedia touchscreen stereo.

user12134 you have made a great choice of car, I have one in Ebony which I think is a great colour.
Couldn't get my dealer below 9k so looks like you struck a good deal as well.
I don't see too many on the road but if you enter your whereabouts on the map you'll see where a lot of us are.
As for the radio I get by with it and haven't even tried the CD yet after 4 months! but ben11 seems to be the expert at the moment. Smiley

Hi I have tamura coming 1st march and I guess it depends on the dealership or possibly location although I wouldn't think the latter. I am in central Scotland an got my white tamura with scrappage 4 7600 and with finance over 5 yr I am still only 9400. 1600 less than the on the road price. Salesman was easily best I've dealt with aswell

Are you saying you got a brand new Tamura for £7600 on scrappage? Do you mean £8600. I dont think they will ever go to that price range.

that's not a deal.. its a steal mate... even the online traders such as drivethedeal.com aren't going below 8.8k figure. Are you sure you got Tamura? I think you need to check it again as it might be TS1. Smiley
