Thought i would warn you 2 owner's about a problem i have had with my 2, it may be a problem that all 2s could suffer from, the top of my windscreen has de-bonded from the roof,it took a few weeks to find the problem, and it was not the dealer that found it despite them having the car twice to try and find it, it was a local body repair shop that found it having only looking at the car for ten minutes,Mazda have said this will not be covered under warranty even though the car is under 3 years old, so i am having screen replaced and paying for it myself and then puting in a claim for it back.

The warning sign's for this fault is a creaking noise coming from the top of the left or right or both A pillars, this noise is very audible and gets worse as time goes by, the noise can sound like it is coming from the dash, if you have a noise coming from the dash then i would get the dealer to have a look to see if it is the same fault as i have got.

Hi
yes the screen could have fallen out if the bondding had totally failed, but on mine the top of the screen has failed all along the front of the roof.

the noise i had is a creaking sound like a movement sound, it was more apparent when driving a undulating road and at low speed not high.

I am getting the same problem, but this will only happen in cold weather or when I just started the car at a low speed. Do you think I could have the same problem? Or maybe I should just take it back to the dealer. Thanks for your help anyway.

I to am getting a weird noise coming from my left pillar, im getting some warranty work on the 19th on my rear passenger side window due to wind noise, im going to mention to them about his window, im not having to pay to get my window fixed myself, that i can't afford right now.

just to let you all know i have had my windscreen cut out and re-bonded in by a accident repair centre, i had this done under my windscreen insurance cover this cost me nothing, Mazda did not want to know because the car is 30 months old and therefore in there view this was not a build quality problem and there for not warranty,(what a load of rubbish) as the people who re-bonded it said it had been fitted poorly in the first place, i can not be bothered to argue with Mazda over this but i will get my own back as later this year i am intending to buy a new car to replace this one and it will not be a Mazda.

I've also noticed the problem with the back windows - very hardly ever have anyone in my back seats so no-one has touched, but everytime I come to wash the car water gets in as the windows aren't shut properly and have dropped slightly !!  Undecided
