Hi, I have a black Mazda Sport 2 and recently have had a problem with water marks left after washing the car.  Is anybody else having the same problem?  Also, does anyone know of a decent polish to get rid of the marks?    Huh?

Cheers, any suggestions welcome. Huh? Huh?

Wipe the car dry after washing it.

If you tried washing the spots and they don't come off try Meguiars Scratch X 2.0. It really makes the difference.
It depends on the water quality as it happened to me some times in the past especially if it is very salty and you don't dry it out really quickly.

Hi guys, I have a similar problem with swirl marks, but it's not the water it's Turtle Wax Black scratch remover solution.  I accidentally allowed it to dry before wiping off the excess (the scratches still remain) and now it has this horrible mark which can be seen once the car is washed/dried.

I have tried waxing it (btw I find that the Turtle Wax Black Wax works a dream on the brilliant black Horus) but I still can't get rid of this mark, I don't suppose anyone has had a similar problem/knows how to rectify?

Cheers  Grin

If you use a decent wash shampoo and decent chamois leather it shouldnt leave any marks. For polish I would use autoglym best stuff by miles.

Wash with a proper car shampoo (Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner), dry with a decent cloth (Meguiars Water Magnet Drying Towel) and finally spray and wipe with Autoglym Aquawax. Result: no drying marks.

for the swirl marks i would try a maguiers 83 solution.... i use to valet cars with just maguiers and the results i had were out standing.... the 83 stuff ether use with a maguiers aplicator pad or a good desent buffer... then put a maguiers nxt gen 2.0 wax on top and it will be nice and smooth and shiny. for the dry marks try a maguiers step 1,2 and 3... paint cleaner... polish and wax.... they about £9 each round were i live... do it in order and you can get a nice good finish,, the paint cleaner is realy handy for tar spots as well
