Mazda UK are useless. I had issues with a Mazda dealer in Stockport when I bought a MX5. Call Mazda UK who contacted this dealership. Mazda UK called me back to say that because they were a franchise dealership they could do nothing about it? Spoke to the director of that dealership who gave me serious attitude down the phone. If you have problems they don't want to know, and sometimes they'll have the audacity to blame you for THEIR cock ups. As long as Mazda gets their commision from these dealerships I don't really think they give too much of a toss about the customers.

Oh I've had that they tried to blame my driving style for the poor fuel economy and clutch problems till I told them to do one.
I've had the they are franchises and they have no power over them etc.
generally the customer services is crap it's no wonder they don't sell too many car in the UK if this is how they treat customers.
It's D-day tomorrow they either replace the car or I start legal proceedings against them and go to every local paper and even national motoring press to highlight how mazda don't give a rats arse when customers have problems with their cars.
I rejected the car weeks and weeks ago and they still haven't done anything about it.

GOOD NEWS the car is being replaced.
It only took numerous phone calls to mazda UK but at least they are replacing the car.
The dealer said mazda UK are reluctantly replacing the car lmao I bet they are reluctantly doing it.
I wonder what they will do with the old car when I get the new one.
I just got to accept the light silver as it's the only colour they can get they cant get a metropolitan grey one without ordering it from the factory and that could take months to get here.
It has just come in time as some idiot pulled out on the mrs last night and she wrote a tyre off by swerving and hitting the curb.

well the colour we got wasn't the colour we wanted.
they just said if it's still in japan we could wait up to 3 months for it to turn up.
i've not made my mind up yet got to call them back later and let them know what colour I want.
The dealer is not happy with mazda UK as they tried to blame the dealer for the faults saying they should have picked them up on the PDI check how do you pick up poor fuel economy and a dodgy alarm etc on a PDI.

Well I got the new car today and so far so good.
the fuel economy is already higher than the old car
The new car just generally drives better than the one that has gone back.
Just hope this one behaves it's self.

Well the car is 6 days old now and I've done 120 miles and the onboard trip computer is saying we are getting 46.4 mpg around town it is a little up and down but that is to be expected with a new engine.
No faults at all so far this time 3 months ago we already had a list of faults on the old car.
Hope I've not spoken too soon LOL
This car is much better to drive and EVERY thing just seems to work better and quieter.
There really is a huge difference in this car and the old one.

I forgot to post this.
I picked up the new car last wednesday I had to had back down on friday and sign some paper work they had forgotten about and guess what was on the forecourt up for sale? you guessed it the car I had just returned because it was faulty they want £11500 for a 3 month old faulty mazda 2 sport.
I asked them why it was up for sale as I was told it was going back to Mazda and they said Mazda had lumbered them with it so they had to sell it.
I said to sales guy your just gona have the same problem as you've just sorted out he said I know but what else can we do with it.

Andy

Good luck mate -- is the new one diesel or petrol - if petrol that's good mileage.  -- Best I have had on our petrol is 51 and that was following a truck for miles at 40-45mph.
