It's petrol mate
The mpg was up and down but thats expected its only done 600 miles but it seems to use much less petrol than the last one.
I've got to work out the exact mpg when i find the receipt for the petrol I put in.

Just thought I'd give an update well we are 2 months in to the replacement car and we have had no problems at all the new car is a pleasure to drive we are getting an average of around 38-40 mpg around town.
This is how the first car should have been.

There is only one thing I am keeping an eye on and that is front brakes the wheels seem to get exceptionally dirty very quickly with brake dust the brakes work fine so Im not that worried.

I have the exact same problem and its a complete nightmare to keep clean. Youll have shiny alloys one minute and a simple trip down the motorway and bang they are filthy within 5 mins. As a result i have given up cleaning them Smiley.

I had mine off and pressure washed them - dried them off and waxed them - dust seems to come off much easier.- steer clear of harsh alloy wheel cleaner - if you have a chip in finish it get's under finish and lifts it.

One thing that get's me is quality of paint - I gave it a good clean today and the scratch marks are unbelievable - trouble with black is undercoat paint is white and any scratch shows up -- I have some of this fancy black paint wax which I have to try - just hope it does what it says on tin.

Andy

Been out today and managed to get computer mpg up to 43 so not bad at all.

Another thing I have found after 18 months of ownership is radio - of any add on I would upgrade radio - I just can't listen to it - the quality is so inferior to my cars 10 yr old Clarion system.

yeah I know the paint is incredibly soft on these cars for some reason the replaced car marked so easily. That colored turtle wax is good i've used it on previous black cars.
Black cars are a nightmare slightest mark and it shows up but they look so good when waxed and polished up
