My wife has a shiny new Mazda 2 Tamura, radiant ebony. Loves the car but is wondering where the outside temperature display is. I took a closer look and found that the Tamura doesn't appear to have this feature at all, which I find staggering given it's a fairly standard feature on most cars nowadays. Not on a Mazda 2, it's a trip computer function, only available on the Sport it seems.

Anyone know if I get this fitted as a dealer option?

Cheers.

As far as I am aware it is only available on the sport and is not a dealer option it is a little odd that common thing like a outside temp display is not included on all the models.
Thats why I brought the sport because you get soooo much more for not much more money!

Thanks - I made the mistake of assuming that the Tamura had an ouside temperature display....doesn't every new car?  Smiley

Anyway, lookg like a trip to Halfords is required for one of those mountable units that puts a sensor outside the car....not aesthetically pleasing as there is a wire involved but my wife is firmly of the opinion that knowing the outside temperature is really important  :Smiley

Cheers.

Even the Sport Temp guage is a pain-its linked in with all the other stuff so if you viewing petrol consumption you cant see it..it should deffo be viewable all the time.

Am I right in thinking that the Takuya has the trip comp/temp display?

More evidence that if you want all the toys you have to get the Sport, but the Tamura certainly looks the biz.

Can't she just look on the weather website before going out? or have a thermometer outside the house?

It always seems weird to me that people want this feature, why does the outside temperature matter? you can see if it's icy, and if you're not sure, drive as if it is...

My Tamura bought in Sept. 2011 has the same computer system as the Sport.  It does include an outside temperature gauge.
