Just sitting thinking about our day and it occured to me our little Sport is 17 months old - it's done around 15k miles - 12 of them last year when we moved house - and in all that time it's never missed a beat  - we did have a bit of bad luck on first day with 25 miles on clock and got a stone star on windscreen then less than 5k miles later 2 punctures in as many weeks resulting in two new front tyres.

In all this time it's returned on average 40mpg but if you reset computer at start of long run 45+ is easily obtainable
We also had parking sensors front and back and must say it hard to judge how close you are when parking up to another car and if it wasn't for front sensors I would have a gap of 4ft but sensors stop you with continuous pitch at about 12"-14"

We also had the tow bar fitted just for little trailer to take rubbish to tip and in last few weeks it's earned it's keep - having a paved area put down so there's a lot of dirt to get rid of - I recon we had 10 cwt (to new kids that's half a imperial ton) and it sure felt heavy but car did Ok still showing 41.7mpg on computer.

Overall it's not a bad car - only gripe for me is it's manual tran as mine is auto and too much road noise through tyres - goes well if you thrash it and corners well.

Mine is now 8 months old and is similarly superb, I am delighted with it.  I don't thrash it, I suspect that I may have run it in too cautiously for it to be a "fast" one.  It does have a deliciously smooth, creamy midrange though and doesn't use a drop of oil.
