i currently own a 1.4td mazda 2 54 plate
i bought it as a front end damaged car
i installed new radiator and had to fix the sump, the oils burning and to top it off the bottom of my dip stick seems to have melted or snaped, my fan has never kicked in ever and my temp gadge has never passed half way even when ive been out and drove it about and let it tick over for 20 mins, surely it should raise and the fan should kick i, ive checked the water and theres no oil in the water and vice versa, any help would be very gratefull, many thanks David

There could be a multitude of things that been broken. does the engine have an intercooler? as diesels usually have one.
the temp sensor could be broken or just not in the pocket it is suppose to sit in, the oil pump could be damaged, you really need to take it to a good mechanic quick as you could spend weeks trying to find what is wrong with it

Maybe your temperature gauge is broken because if you oil is heating, it should have sensed it. better have it checked since that will be a bigger problem in the long run.
