Hello,
I was wondering if anybody had any information on the new model coming out at the end of the month, called 'Takuya' I think, I have already ordered it but was not sure about the interior, will it be the same as the TS2 or the sport?
As I have read online that its 'black sports trim', but at the garage they said it will be the same as the TS2, although they didnt seem too sure about it as it isnt even on their computer system yet.

Thanks for any replies  Smiley

I ordered it in Crystal White, Still unsure on the price though as it wasn't on the computer for them to do the finance properly so they just put it down as a tamura to put the order through until everything is up to date.

Was originally going to get the Tamura but then due to certain circumstances I couldn't, went to the garage the other week and they no longer do it and offered me this, had all the optional extras I was going to get for the Tamura as standard ( Fog lights, Blue Tooth Parrot thing ) and also rear electric windows which can only be a plus I suppose.

I'l post the price when I go to sign another dotted line and maybe put some pictures up when it arrives Smiley

Cheers for the help.

Hi,

I have just ordered one of these today, I was initially after the Tamura but apparently this is it's replacement!

There doesn't seem to be much info on the internet about the spec? Does anyone know the exact spec? Parkers lists it as having everything under the sun such as Cruise Control, Traction Control, Rain sensing wipers. Surely that can't be right? Seems more like the Sport spec?

http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/equipment/Detail.aspx?deriv=48102#amount=11860&years=3

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

I am picking up my Mazda6 2.3 Sport (2nd hand on an 06 plate) on Friday, and as we now have 2 family sized cars, we are thinking about replacing the missus' Citroen Picasso for a smaller cheaper car to run.

We are considering the Mazda2 1.3 Tamurya in Crystal White, £11915, and thinking about taking Mazda up on the 50% deposit, the rest interest free offer over 3 years.

I think this model will be a winner.
Its basically a TS2 plus:
■  1.3 86ps petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission
■ 16" alloy wheels
■ Sports radiator grille
■  Front sports bumper
■ Sports side skirts
■ Rear roof spoiler
■  Front fog lights
■  Body-coloured door handles
■ Power-operated, heated folding door mirrors
■ Black cloth seats
■ Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
■ Single CD player with 4 speakers and auxiliary jack connector
■ Steering wheel-mounted audio controls hands-free system*
■ Trip computer
■ Manual air conditioning
■ Premium floor mats
■  Dual front and side airbags
■ Front and rear curtain airbags
■ Choice of Aluminium Metallic, Brilliant Black, Crystal White Pearlescent and Copper Red Mica paint

I cant see the point of this model Its what about £700 cheaper than the sport yet the sport has got more in it so why not just buy the sport.

You want a car that looks like the sport has the interior of the sport so why not just buy the sport?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh?

Got mine coming today i went for this one over a sport just to save me some money on insurance and petrol (after owning a Vauxhall astra coupe 1.8 that drank petrol like no mans business) you get all the benefits of the sport without the higher running cost and i find the 1.3 86BHP engine fun too in a car this light.

I've got the sport and I get 60 MPG on a run and 42 MPG around town.

All this business about buying small engined cars to save petrol is a non starter you just end up thrashing it and spending more on petrol I know i had a 1.2 corsa to save money on petrol it just cost me more as i had to thrash it to get it going.

As for insurance It costs me £400 a year to insure mine with me and the misses insured to drive it and i'm not an old fart i'm 31 and the misses is 28 with 5 years protected no claims.

Got my Takuya last week on the 1st September.

Very pleased so far, I've done just over 200 miles in it now so the engine and gearbox is starting to loosen up and its getting better and better each day!

Got it in Pearlescent white and it needs a wash already! Think I'm going to be constantly washing it!!

Will post some pictures when I get chance.
