Just wondering. I came across this in my 2008 Mazda TS2. Not sure how long it hasn't been working for.
I would maybe suggest checking that your locks lock from the inside every so often!
Going to book it in to Mazda even though the car has only been serviced recently...
Would this be covered by the warranty??

I lock them quite often as I put kids in the car and never had this. You should try to get it under warranty I don't see why not!

I had this problem too. When you open the door, look down the side of the door. There is a small latch on the side of the door which needs to be switched - this should enable the locking mechanism.

I tried switching it but still no joy...  Huh?
