Hi, how about a link to this survey as I'm interested how other dealers perform. I've already named our dealer, Birchwood of Eastbourne, in my opinion they are as bad as their representives in Hastings. Doesn't return calls, says they will sort out issues with finance when they didn't, resulting in possible bad credit history, unable to fix items under warrenty, Ford that is as they are both Mazda and Ford dealers.
Thing is Mazda are meant to have good dealership support, things are begining to slip I think. We went from a Ford to Madza with my partners car hoping things would improve  Angry

I basically went between to Garages, they both know I was looking to find the best offer. I explained that my old car was my fathers and that the value he wants to trade in is his option but the value of the car I want is my choice (as i would be paying in the long run on a PCP contract).

The second garage I went to, the sale assistant was a dic*, he said to me "your not the one I want to talk to, you father is the one going to make the final decision". He was wrong..I decided I go with the first garage...you know manners go along way even to  20 year old! lol

Do the dealers usually come with you on the test drives? I was quite surprised to find that the dealer let me take the Mazda 2 out for a spin on my own, when I totally expected him to come with me! His attitude wasn't the best I admit, but he was serious about his job, so I guess the dealer won this time...

Same happened to me!  The salesman didn't even want to see that I had a valid licence.  Maybe we just look honest!  Wink

My dealer has been brilliant (PV Dobson of Levens, Cumbria). Good test drive, went out of their way to get me the car I wanted for Sept 1st even though I was a bit late ordering and they have been on the phone already to ask if the car is ok.
However, best test drive so far was new Fiat Bravo 1.9 Multijet for 48 hours from Fiat at Windermere.

Hi, I joined this forum as I was thinking of buying a 2 for my daughter, a black TS model. I approached the local dealer, Arnold Clark in Stirling, and found the salesman to be very helpful. On asking I was able to arrange a test drive within 90 minutes. A TS2 model was made available and my daughter, 18 years old, was able to drive the car unaccompanied by the salesman or a member of staff, for as long as possible. No check as to whether she held a licence or not . A great service. Yes it is unfortunate that some reps take a dislike to some people just because how they look and their age but at the end of the day, especially these days, it is their loss. We had gone to look at a Corsa and the salkesman and manager were all over us like a rash. Hopefully the experience so far bodes well for the future.
