Hi, I would have thought it would be more like a facelift as they can't change much because of being based upon the Ford Fiesta, which only comes out in october. Perhaps they will change the cheap plastic dash as well, certainly, from a drivers point of view, that would be a major improvment...

A few changes a very likely but not a facelift, But as i said it's a new model which is being added to the range.

Correcto the new fiesta is based on the Mazda 2, But isn't the starting price of the fiesta @ 10k against Mazda's 8k?

If Mazda start changing too much too soon they will have to up the price, Given time the car will get cheaper to produce & they can start changing things around.

It's gotta be an MPS. Oh please let it be an MPS... hang on... don't it'll make my sport look rubbish.

It's either that or an estate version.  Tongue

Maybe it's the sedan version? Probably not, but it could be... Or maybe it's a Super version which comes with built in machine guns and stuff, over 18s only need apply.

I didn't quote a price! I said isn't it? Someone told me that the range didn't start till 10k & that was my mate who works at the local dealership. as the studio is so basic & will have a limited market i wasn't far off at all.

The studio is £600 more than a ts & doesn't have electric windows or remote central locking!

a style is £1,100 more than a ts but has alloys

a style + is £800 more than a standard ts2

Either way it's more expensive & these prices are quoted & accurate!

the zetec s has an all new 1.6 engine with 120 bhp and less emissions than the 2 sport!!  yes its a bit more expensive but my local mazda dealer is a scrooge and will only knock 5 per cent off a sport, when the fiesta is a few months old make that 15 per cent which will make it cheaper, better, but sadly more common than the 2. also i note the price of a fiesta 2nd remote key- 30 quid!! shame on you mazda at 170, that is a pure rip off.  one further thing, the colours on the fiesta are all way better than the 2. you may be able to tell but i am going off the 2, sorry everyone.

The 2 saloon is very unlikely to come to the UK, We are actually getting a 1.6td Sport in January! Golden red & Golden Yellow are going & in comes Passion Orange.

Lets be fair there is no such thing as a free lunch, If you get a big discount off a car you will certainly lose that money short & long term! There is no doubt the Fiesta is a good car but it will be common as muck. If you want to be an individual you go for a 2! As for the 2nd spare key watch this space it wont be a problem for too long.

Fair play to Ford for the 1.6 Zetec S with it's 120bhp & less Co2 9.9 0-62 against Mazda's 10.4 i would have hoped for more from an extra 15bhp but still it is extra bang per buck.

Good luck with what ever you choose to go for!

Gotta say though, seen pics of the new Fiesta on billboards and stuff, it doesn't look too bad actually... The rear end looks more sporty compared to the 2... Just a thought though.
