I think the Mazda 2 would struggle to put down much more than the current sport does anyway. Lightweight car and excessive power, results in no traction? Smiley

Maybe they do the same as Ford with Focus RS now - model at the end of it's lifetime and they came with RS...maybe in 2013 Mazda announced new Mazda2 and will come with actual Mazda2 MPS Cheesy.
Hehe, google09, and what about new Mazda3 MPS? Smiley 191kW and 1310kg Smiley, the old one has 191kW and 1408kg Smiley

Mini cooper S and old shape Renaultsport Clios (to name just a couple) seem to do ok with plenty of power and low kerb weights...

Even just a sport version with all the toys ripped (A/C, stereo, passanger seats... boot light?) out to reduce the weight even more would be a good start.

Stupid economy.

Wades, I think you desperately need something like a Mazda 2 Sport, MPS, 2.5, 300bhp Hot Rod made up for you, then you could leave all those things in, you wanted to take out?   Cool Cool What do you think Grin Grin

That would do me too, the lotus I mean, the Elise is one of my favorite cars, but not sure if my creaking old bones would allow me to get into one. Wink Grin
