What track info is the standard system meant to display when playing an mp3 encoded CD? I have burned some albums in mp3 format to CD using Windows media player. The music plays fine but I initially get a Folder number shown, then the album name and then just the track number. The manual seems to suggest that you get Band, Album and Track info displayed. This info all seems to be there on the CD. Any ideas? I know the manual states that the track info has to be in a certain format but it must be ok as the album name is displayed.

Haven't tried a MP3 cd but can't you change the display somehow on the dashboard?

Possibly. I need to read the manual again carefully, it doesn't seem too clear in this area though.

If you change only name of the data file it doesn't effect what shows on your display. You need program where you can change files info. I don't konw if you can do that with winamp or some other freeware. I have myMP3 and with that I can modify file info.

Im sure that if you press the number 5(with 'text' written under) button on the radio pre-selects it changes the information currently being displayed when playing an MP3 CD.

Being a oldie could someone clarify this CD MP3 for me -- we are just in throws of buying a Maz 2 Sport and it says CD MP3 - does this mean I can burn Mp3 music to CD (rather than DVD) and it will play in CD player - if so that will save me buying a Mp3 player or is that a better choice?
Cheers Dave

In a word - YES!!!
Basically you just burn the MP3's to a CD as a data disk (rather than an audio cd format) and pop it in. You can copy tham into folders (like in windows) to differentiate between albums.
Hope this helps!

I have tags working on my MP3 CDs, one of the options on the menu on the right is one of them I think.

It scrolls through a few... File name, album title, track number, Artist, Song Title. Press the button a few times. I can't remember what the button says now, I'll just nip out and confirm I press 'Auto-M Display' to the right of the volume controller. Just have to make sure my MP3 has the tags on it.

Is there any way for autoscrolling? I mean when the MP3 file has a longer name, if it is possible to have autoscrolling (now I have to pres the "5" - text - to scroll the name)

By pressing Auto-m display when playing MP3 you choose what you want to display: Song title, file title, folder title etc. By pressing number "5" (TEXT written underneath) you can scrool the text.
