How is it fitted on ? Is this something anyone can do or do you need a specialist ?

Looks good, would like to see a pic of the storage part of it and of it upright though if possible, as I miss the armrest/storage unit I used to have in my megane

Do we still get discount on this item? Since I could not find this club (M2) between the clubs with discount on their website.
And has anybody ordered this armrest? If yes, does it fit well?

Thanks!  Smiley

Hi Guys and Girls,

I have just imported a Genuine Mazda 2 Armrest Kit from the UK to Australia.

Having fitted it myself, I have found some PRO's and CON's.

1.  The genuine factory armrest is provided with a totally new rear chassis mounting bracket.
This means the rear of the armrest is secured internally to the centre console rear chassis mounts with a solid steel plate, making it totally secure.
I have seen the mounting sytem on other armrests and they just screw into the plastic sides of the centre console .. a real worry if loads are placed on the armrest.

2.  The genuine factory armrest uses "real leather" on the arm support, not coloured vinyl.

3.  The genuine factory armrest has no ugly side mounting brackets.

4.  The genuine factory armrest has quite a large amount of storage inside its two seperate compartments, some non-genuine armrests don't feature this.

5.  I have found that the factory armrest does obstruct the use of the parking hand-brake, but you soon learn to adapt.

Obviously there is a large price comparision between genuine and non-genuine armrests, but if you can stretch your dollar further, buy the genuine item, you won't be disappointed.

Hi Warren,  Smiley

I'm from Australia, what is the website address you brought your centre armrest from? As I've been looking at buying one.
What kind of centre console do you have in your Mazda 2? Is it the one that's on the Australian Mazda website?
Do you have size 16" tyres on yours?

I've been doing my Mazda 2 Genki 2009 up adding alot of exterior & interior accessories from other countries.
