MPS wasn't launched yet, maybe never will be . 1.5 manual is OK to go more than 190km/h. My private record with my 1.3 63kW manual is 185km/h by GPS (about 198km/h on tacho), I hope it could do more coz these was on winter tyres and was pretty windy that day. And my car has in papers 172km/h maximum speed

Mazda 2 1.5 A/T has an old fashioned A/T gearbox and not very economical. In city consumption is about 9.1 l/100km. Competitors generally use modern electronic gearboxes and they are much more economical than a Mazda 2 A/T. For example pug 207 2AT in city figure is about 7.9 l/100 km and clio 1.2 easyshift figure is 7.6 l/100 km..Both cars are more economical than manual versions in the city drving ..But mazda2 is A/T is far more fuel hungry than manual version and all the competitors.
To my knowledge Mazda has a 2 for Japanese market which has 1.3 miller cycle engine with CVT box. Can not reach the full engine and economy data but it is claimed to be 20% more economical than a 1.3 manual Mazda 2...
Why don't they bring that CVT to Europe instead of importing that fuel-hungry (for petrol rich people like russians) auto box..
