i think the carbon fibre long arm one i posted up was bout £500 including shipping from japan i was like WOWAH

damn our current currency

but the simple filter change is only bout £50 quite a bit of difference . i think i might save up for the carbon fibre long arm one, but im in no rush to get it as of yet xD

The K&N panel filter it has much better flow
For example trying breathing though a paper bag then try breathing through a pillow case

OK, OK, I fitted it without guide Smiley. Hmm...and feelings? Better gaspedal response, in higher rotates better sound and maybe better willingness to accelerate, almost from 3000rpm higher.

hi, I'm Xavi from Barcelona, Spain, and I've found this forum looking around the internet.

I really haven't got a Mazda 2, but my girlfriend has one, I am looking for something not to much expensive to win some power, because she can't follow me Grin There's not much info around about the mazda 2, and all I can find is in japanese.

I supose that with the K&N filter you might improve the performance of the car at high revs, but how much can you gain with this air filter? 2-3hp? Is it worth it?

Do you know any chiptuner to dopate the mazda 2?

Thanks.

I hope you can understand my english!

Bye!

From my experience, the K&N filter panel gave little performance gain if any.

I thought that there could be some improvement, but I supose it's only noise... I also supose the fuel consume has increased, has it?

I already knew that on TurboDiesel engines there's no improvement.

So, after about 10.000 km with K&N Air filter I can say:
1) no noise increasing
2) the power was increased very little, I think in about 3.500 rpm it has little bit bigger "push off"
3) fuel consumption goes down about 0.2 litres/100 km

So, I'm very satisfied with it.
