Hi everyone, my parents picked their ts2 diesel up today and are very pleased with it apart from........... no outside temperature reading, having looked into it the trip computer only comes on the sport spec with the info button on the wheel.  My question is can the computer be retro fitted?
Thanks in advance

My Mazda Ts2 is under warranty but for the last one and half year giving me troubles. Most of the time its in the garage for the same reason.
It goes to Idle mode anf engine warning lights appear on the screen. Mazda dealers repaired many times but problem persists. I am fed up woth this. I wrote to Mazda central office but problem continues. I dont know what to do?
Is it a proper forum for raising the concerns. Can Mazda hep me. If not then who else?

I think that this is a common problem with most makes of diesel vehicles due to the sensors fitted to reduce emissions.  They do not like short journeys and need to be driven hard at least once a week for about 20 minutes.
If you search for diesel problems on the net you will find there are many people with the same problem. Huh?

Change the fuel filter, about £50 for the part and don't use cheap supermarket fuel. Add some Redex Diesel about once a month and ensure to drive it hard at least once a week and this will cure your problem with the powertrain warning light coming on and causing limp mode to activate.
