God that seems a long time to wait for the car, were abouts are you for it to wait so long and have you tried elsewhere???

Murrays in Edinburgh, I could have got a silver one right away but they said if I wanted grey i'd have a long wait.  Well means i get another 6 weeks out of my old cars mot Smiley

I am still waiting to hear from Newport Mazda, placed deposit Monday 18th May.  I keep ringing to check but they tell me Mazda haven't allocated them one yet...

;(

I'm crying on the inside.

My dealer is holding my TS at moment (there has been a delay with solicitors sorting my Gran's estate) and rang me last week for an update - he's still holding it and was ok even tho I offered to increase my deposit he said it was ok as it is. He did tell me M2's are in short supply at the moment as Mazda have reduced their factory output to a third.

Waiting to have one allocated is pretty excruciating, especially when I have an MOT at the end of July shadowing over the deal.  If only there was someway to speed up the process...

Anyone know where I would stand if I demanded my desposit back if they can't give me a delivery estimate in the next few weeks?

As I understand the scrappage rules, as long as the car had it's MOT on the day the new car was ordered then it's ok. I'd double check that elsewhere but I think you will be ok.

True, but the scrap car is still being driven, so until I get the Mazda 2 I need it to have an MOT.  I've simply resigned myself to ringing Mazda on a weekly basis.  If they can't "allocate" me one by the end of June, I shall tell them to cancel my order.
