Hi All, Have any of you long term 2 users had any problem with corrosion of any part of the alloy wheels to date? It seems to be a common problem on many other Mazda models, (had it on my last car a 3) but not heard of it being reported on a 2 yet In all cases that I am aware of Mazda changed the wheels if car was under warranty

Corrosion? There is some at the part where wheels connect to the axis but from what I've heard it's not a problem!

Chris, I meant within the warranty period, as you need to look before it expires to get them replaced FOC. From what I gather the alloy wheel coatings on Japanese built cars is there problem area for some reason. I have had a Mazda 3 and a Toyota Celica and both had alloy wheel corrosion. However the Toyota Corolla I had that was built in Derby had no such problem. Was just interested to see if any of the higher mileage vehicles, but still in warranty were showing any signs of it Gary

That's a good thing, but the corrosion looks like the surface is starting to bubble up lifting the alloy coloured paint and coating, generally starting at a shape edge on the wheel

Majki, alloy wheels and I can't post photo as I don't have the problem on this car, but will look to see if I can find one somewhere, just for you

Hi, is it, I assumed it was for plastic trims, steel or laquered alloy wheels and removes brake dust and dirt, but not rust. http://www.carplan.co.uk/index.cfm?category=60 btw my 'other car' has the same issue with the locking nuts as well. Chris
