Hi Guys, This is a bit like standing up in a crowded room and saying I have got Swine Flu! View the inside edges. Only on the two front wheels but just 8 months old. Colric
P.S. Little further deterioration over the past 20 months; still replaced under warranty in November 2010. Not so happy with the three hours it took whilst I waited patiently!!

Colric, thanks for coming to my rescue , that's exactly (your image 002) how its starts and after a couple of years the bubbling occurs. If you are friendly with your Mazda garage they will advise you to bring the car back a couple of month before it goes out of warranty and have them replaced then. The dealer takes a photo and sends it off to Mazda who then authorise the repair under warranty I can now stop creeping around car parks on my hands and knee's trying to find an example, thanks again Colric

Well Majki just when Colric helped me out with a photo of corrosion on alloy wheels, I came across some really good examples of what Mazda wheels could be like after a couple of years, so see the attachments and be worried, be very worried and hope yours remain OK

No, but my guess would be a contaminated base surface before the coatings were applied, causing it to break through over time

I must admit that I wax my wheels every time I do the car, which is every 4 or 5 weeks. I also clean and wax the inside of the wheels once a year right after the car has been serviced too

I will get the wheels off these days to paint the calipers black mat and I will clean them from the inside too Actually a friend will paint them who is a mechanic because I might end painting all the car just like a revell model I will try to make a sticker with mazda badge in order to stick it while sparying and remove in later to leave a mark! IIt must be difficult thought :?

Blacks a good colour for the calipers, understated unlike red that I think is a little loud

Indeed! The other options were gloss red and blue! no gloss black available so went for the mat! I'll post some pics when I'll do them
