Gold would seem well with the metr grey but I guess if I had darker wheels like tamura's edition Sad

Sorry to hear that benny, but don't get them changed just yet, wait until the car is nearly out of warranty and have them changed then. Grin or if you're not keeping the car that long have them changed now. Grin

However, advise your local dealer that you have a corrosion problem, but are waiting to see if it progresses and have them add it to you're dealer records for future reference Grin

It only takes a stone chip to go through the paint and/or lacquer to start the corrosion off - especially this time of year with all the salt about on the roads. And if you use the wrong kind of wheel cleaner, you can make it worse - some are highly corrosive. Frankly if you've got a good wheel brush and clean them regularly, you don't need anything more than car shampoo.

There are a few companies dotted around who can do a good job of restoring/respraying wheels. One is http://www.thewheelrestorer.co.uk/ in Wrexham. Another is http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/ in Milton Keynes.

Mine are starting to go after I washed the last lot of muck of them. I might give dealers a call too. Wink

No corrosion on any of my alloys Smiley

Clean my car everyother day. Take my wheels off twice a week and clean behind them properly. I always wax them once a week with Rimwax (By Smartwax) protects my wheels very well!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!  Grin

Same here, car is nearly two years old and going in for it's service next week. Will the wheels still be covered by the warrenty?

Yuck - looks like its dirt on the inside faces of the wheels that's caused the problem. The makers can't expect you to want/be able to clean there all the time, so I would certainly hope for an under-warranty replacement. These are the exact same wheels as mine, so I'll have to keep an eye open for the same problem.
