Hello! I have an arm rest fitted when i first bought my Mazda 2. All i can say is its great! the storage is very useful, has slots already fitted for a few cds and the rest of the storage easily holds a phone. It makes longer drives very comfortable as you can virtually lounge back in your seat. Yes unless you have hands the size of a small four year old you well have trouble putting the hand brake on however unless you put the handbrake on every time you stop you shouldn’t find this to much of an inconvenience!

Hello Sigeb,
Had one fitted to my new Sport delivered yesterday and would recommend one. Would leave the rest up when traveling around town or when the handbrake might be used a lot and down when your cruising for comfort.

There's 2 brackets that are added that the armrest base fits onto. You need to take out the current console, screw in the 2 brackets, and the armrest base screws into the 2 brackets.

I can easily reach the handbrake with the armrest down.

Here's some pics:

You can see the 4 screw covers at the front and back which  screws into the 2 brackets added to the centre section.

You need to remove the centre section as one of the brackets screws into the chassis, screwing into the plastic won't be strong enough. I got it from here for about £84 GBP. Is it not available where you are? It might be worth emailing them to see if they can ship, if they can't I don't mind ordering and shipping to you but not sure how much that would cost.
