What a travesty - that looks absolutely nothing like the old Capri that I remember. I have really fond memories of my grandfathers Capri - shame on Ford.

Hi, I'm suprised you would expect it to look the same, seeing as we only have some kind of artist impression anyway(majik). We all have fond memorys of our earlier cars, but, to honest, who'd want something like the old Capri. It wasn't that good, I remember driving the 3.5 litre version, now that was a dangerous car, wheelspin at speed, rear axle tramp all of the time when pulling away, noisy, unreliable, shiny plastic seats, vinyl roof covering that used to peel off and no-one would like to be in a accident in one.
As is the trend, we have it only in a revitalised name only, but we'll wait and see what the end product is, if it actually happens...

I appreciate what you're saying, but there's not even a hint of what went before. I certainly wasn't expecting a modern day pumped up copy of the original, but a curve / styling line here or there would have been a fitting acknowledgement of what went before. Whatever the outcome I wouldn't have bought one anyway, at least not after the last Ford I had that turned out to be one huge mechanical turd - but that's another story!
