Mazda 2 (Summer Meet) - Please read

Right then fellow mazda 2 owners.
after attending the Japfest meet where myself , slick a.k.a Richard and neeldub met up ive decided to get the ball rolling on a summer time meet , i know other ideas for meets have just gone down the pan, but it would be nice to achieve one for the summer of 2009. i know a lot of the forums users live many miles apart, hense the reason why i would like to try and arrange a date and place which is suitable for the users who wish to attend and meet the other forum users.

So here it begins (the planning)

 - dates are between late June and beginning of August
 - Im thinking a Weekend being either a Saturday or Sunday due to the fact of people having to work.
 - What would you like to do on the day?? as we only know each other via the forums i was thinking of maybe spending the first quarter of the day getting to know each other and then maybe move onto some type of group activity or food. any other ideas will be welcomed
 - let me know your locations via this thread, and we will try and work out a inbetween for everyone so that everyone is happy
 - if your defo interested in attending i will help with the planning of your journey and what not if you require me to do so.
 - finally the meet date will be decided and once all users and the users diarys are happy with the date. then we can look forward to the meet.
 
I Hope that with our member numbers increasing day by day. that more users will be interested in participating in this meet. even if your a user that doesn't own a mazda 2 but is looking to buy one, you can still turn up on the day. and find out more bout the car your looking to buy. i hope to make this a success but the only way we will achieve this is if we work as a team

Sounds a good idea to me and would like to attend, BUT I think you'll have probs on agreeing a location that would suit most.

Hey scott, thanks for organising! I will probably be free if I'm not away or working. My exams finish in June 18th.

I was going to start organising a track day for the forum at oulton park (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oulton_Park / http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/oulton-park/trackdays/trackdays-car-novice.asp), it would not be a serious day just a bit of fun really. So if you want more info on that then let me know.

Would love to come, as I'm a pretty new member. But, does depend on location and date as I am away in July for a week.

I would consider it depending on location and date. I only get 1 weekend in 4 off and the other half likes to keep me busy on those
