What are you doing to the car to say the brakes are bad. I give my 2 a hard time and the brakes have always coped brilliantly.

I WILL BE ON TO MAZDA TOMORROW Hi, welcome to the forum, brake dust on the wheels isn't an issue espeically if you're overbraking it a little. I do agree with you though, the brakes do leave a little to be desired, I've reported this here before compared to my car. But if you have confidence in them they are ok. By the way, typing in caps is considered bad in forums and represents shouting, no need we'll all hear you ok Chris

As Scott said, my breaks works perfectly too, just as I need to dose the break impact I push the pedal slightly or press it hardly...I'm satisfied with it that it's not as hard and sudden as in VW/Skoda/Renault cars where it needs only light tickle and you are licking windscreen.

Soft pads give a better bite, if you use harder pads it will be even worse (but will help with reducing brake dust).

Just to add to the other replies in this thread.... I've had no problems with the brakes on my TS2 so far. As Majki said, they're not as sensitive as some but I've always felt confident that the car with anchor up pretty quickly. Maybe you could ask the dealer to bleed the brake lines, as trapped air can give rise to excessive pedal travel as well as reduced braking performance. Welcome to the forums badboy. Try not to take the comments about CAPS too personally - but it isn't considered good forums etiquette to use CAPS all the time. If you're keyboard is goosed then fair enough, but maybe consider asking for a new one next Christmas.

i know of this problem, you need to have the rear drum brakes adjusted, the problem is duo to the adjuster is way too loose. just get them adjusted and your pedel is as new again.
