Hi All,

Newbie here.... sort of Tongue

I've been reading through most of the posts over the past month and I have to say I'm glad I did! Originally I ordered a Radiant Ebony Tamura which was available within 1 week of signing the deal... but very soon after I knew I'd made a mistake and asked my dealer to change the order to a Sport as it IS the only choice to go for imho Cool. But... I was told that it would be a factory order as I wanted a Metropolitan Grey one and they wouldn't be arriving until late Nov/early Dec!!!  Shocked

So I started to mentally prepare my mind for the long wait ahead... but luck must have been on my side as my dealer managed to do a swap with another dealer who happened to have a metro grey sport in stock - result!  Cheesy

Am now collecting it on the weekend and am really looking forward the drive home. I added a few dealer options like Lux floor mats, Alloy Foot rest & pedals, Sports exhaust, interior decoration set, sports gear knob and a Mazda 3 aerial stalk. Probably thinking of a centre armrest, boot liner and chrome/carbon number plate surround in the future and the Rear LED tail lights from Germany. The dealer's also sticking in 1/2 tnk of free fuel!  Cool

I've bought/ordered a few more mazda bits online such as nicer designed scuff plates than the official mazda ones and a Mazda Speed brushed aluminium badge for inside. Of course I'll take some pics and post up as soon as.

So thanks guys for all of the pre-delivery info and ideas.

Angelos, you could make one like another forum member has. Grab a pair of these from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-Numberplate-Surrounds-Carbon-Fibre-Effect_W0QQitemZ380164336648QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item58838f6c08&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_582wt_939

and stick on the Mazda Speed logo from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SELF-ADHESIVE-EMBLEM-MS-MAZDA-SPEED_W0QQitemZ180387911853QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item29fff518ad&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_1233wt_1165

Could look pretty sweet, esp on metro grey M2!  Cool

Glad you like it... I certainly do. With £2k knocked off from the scrappage scheme, it was around £10,800 ish. I managed to haggle a bit with the dealer that help bring the price down as I ordered plenty of accessories!

It's still under 100 miles on the clock but will give my new M2 a good run on the weekend. The sports exhaust definately adds a little grunt when you floor it  Wink
Have you placed an order or are you thinking about it right now?

I'd personally go for a '59 plate over a '10 as the facelift M2 front end looks a bit Dale Winton if you get my drift  Undecided

Hows everyone getting them so cheap!

I went to my dealer and he stuck to his guns of 'no discount' full price on everything!

How did you talk them down?!?

Also im unsure whether to go for the sports exhaust as i'm not sure the insurance company won't like it if it ain't standard.. or will it be classed as standard?? Whats the difference??

SO WANT ONE NOW!

Just find dealer A who will give a discount, then go to dealer B and tell them what price dealer A can offer, and if they dont match or beat it then they clearly dont want your business. Then go back to dealer A and tell them dealer B has beat their price, and repeat. Or just lie and say that dealer A has said this

Nice pics, it's a nice colour the met grey, same as mine, but I have a 1.3TS2.  I can now notice the subtle, but very sweet differences you get in the Sport.  Still, I'm not complaining lol  My insurance would have been sky high anyway, I only have 2yrs no claims.  Maybe I'll upgrade next time Wink

Is insurance on the ts to the sport a big difference for people then? I guess being kinda old has its perks, I am not paying much at all to have fully comp on my sport
