So first bit of trouble shooting two days in, good times.

The issue i am having is that some times i am locking my car and as i walk of about 100ft away the alarm goes, however no lights or anything just the annoying beeping. I think it may have something to do with the doors i dont really know, i am just hoping that someone might have had this issue before. let me know.

Cheers

Not sure if you've got a new car - see recent posts under vehicle electrics - 3 of us had similar problem, which ended up being problem with control unit requiring replacement part - luckily once one person found out what problem was having had various sensors etc replaced unnecessarily and could then tell garage what to look at first.  Other than that, could be doors or apparently leaving air vents open can cause motion alarm to set off - may well need trip to garage, I don't think these things are ever obvious.   Undecided

Cheers, had the guy ring me up from mazda to ask how things were going so i told him and he suggested locking with the outside alarm only and if it stops then he thinks the inside sensor is just a bit randy and jumps at anything, i shall see what happens.

Hello again, so car went to the dealer for three hours today and so far seems to be sorted, they said they changed the complete alarm unit so if it works fair play to them, only time will tell. As a treat for my car i took it to meet its daddy after the garage.

Its the alarm control module in the dash, had a few of these and that almost always seems to be the cure.
