Just thought I would say Hi! Smiley

I will be changing my wife's car eventually (could be 6 months away yet!) when the finances stack up for getting rid of a 2006 Merc A class which has been a right royal pain in the rear! Loads of problems in the first 12 months and crazy servicing schedules which cost a bomb! Shame really as it is a nice looking car.

I have done a load of research and dragged the wife round countless garages to determine which is the one that she would like and the Mazda 2 is the clear winner, she is really impressed after viewing a silver TS2 in a showroom at the weekend but wants trip computer, auto lights and wipers so it needs to be a sport.

Would really like a 1.3 Sport for but that is not available so its looking like a 1.5 Sport in Black so fingers crossed that is what we will have.

Thanks for reading and will be asking lots of silly questions for sure!

Cheers

Welcome to the forum!

Yeah your best option is the 1.5 if you looking for the add ons as it actually works out a much better deal then picking add ons to the 1.3

Hi, Thanks for the welcome!

I am planning on buying new although I would consider something 6-12 months old if the price is right. I have found a nice 1.5 Sport at Perry's in Metallic blue for £10200'ish with 10K miles but the time is not right just yet so I will keep looking around.

Do anyone know of any plans for expanding the model range?

Cheers

No, I like the M sport bumpers and sills which could be retro-fitted but I do not like the sport seats, sport suspension and loads of M badges everywhere when it is not a proper M car, so it seemed pointless having the M sport version so opted for an SE instead. The ride can be quirte harsh in an M Sport not helped by run flat tyres so the SE set-up works well IMHO. Interestingly the M Sport is heavier than an SE therefore it will be 'marginally' slower!! Hmm here the M package includes rims, side skirts and front - rear bumbers! Actually it's not the original M package it's just a commercial trick!
