Further to google09's thread www.mazda2forums.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,525.0.html where he appears to have got rid of the click by getting rid of the car, and my own thread www.mazda2forums.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,738.0.html I thought I'd make a quick "survey" of everyone's experience.

I'd appreciate it you could post the following information and any extra info that is relevant.

Reg/Year
Model
Has the pedal clicked?
Has it been fixed and if so, how?

I'll answer my own questions first in respect of my car:

Reg/Year -  08/08
Model - TS2
Has the pedal clicked?  Yes
Has it been fixed and if so, how?  No.  Pedal box replaced but click returned soon after

Extra info on mine is that the pedal has recently stuck to the floor and the car is having a new master cylinder fitted next week.  If that doesn't solve all the problems I will be like google09 and will probably be leaving the forums before the warranty is out!

My reason for asking is mainly to see if this may be more of a problem on the earlier cars, as there hasn't been much mention of it in the last six month or so. I do still like the car but my faith in it is almost zero  Sad

Reg/Year - 08/08
Model - TS2
Has the pedal clicked?  Yes
Has it been fixed and if so, how?  No.  Will mention at next service.

On mine it seems far more noticeable in warmer weather - so I don't tend to notice it so much at this time of year, but's still there.

Thanks to both of the above for your answers.

Adding my wife's TS2 to the figures it is currently 3 x 08 reg do it and 2 x 09 reg don't.  Hardly conclusive, but it is drifting towards what I was thinking.  The other threads also had 08s that did it, but still no 09s.

Thanks again.

The trend is definitely poitning at it being the earlier cars that suffered this problem, which could indicate a change in a component at some point.  I don't wish this annoying "feature" on anyone.

EDIT - Thanks to neogeo74 below, even though it blows a hole in my theory!  Smiley

Thanks Nathan, interesting thoughts.

I think the early reports of the click were on Sports, and it certainly does on the TS2.  No one with a Diesel has suffered yet though.

Intermittent problem. When I took it in for them to look at it, it wouldn't click. Will get them to take another look at first Service.

Thanks to the above two posters.

There still seems to be a trend with the earlier cars having the problem and the newer (some point in 09 reg) but it isn't conclusive!

I am pretty fed up with mine and was hoping to see a clear result that could mean me getting a newer car and getting rid of the problem that way.
