I have got a 2011 Mazda 2 Sport 1.5 .

I have bought a K and N panel filter which is supposed to boost acceleration and horsepower .

I am not sure weather I am supposed to tell my insurance or not ?? I am 18 and my insurance is already through the roof .

Thanks

Well it will make it more expensive!

You don't have to tell them, but you do run the risk that if you have an accident they will use it as an excuse to void your insurance and leave you with a huge bill.

I have Eibach springs on my car, but they are the official Mazda springs so don't really qualify as a modification I think.

It's up to you, but you do run the risk of voiding your insurance, also be prepared for them to slap a chunk on top.

Give us some pics too, would be keen to see your car, as I have a 1.5 Sport also, 59 plate Smiley

Apparently you don't need to tell your insurance because it counts as mateniance rather than a modification to the car

Will do I have got black wheels and a sports exhaust as well .

I have fitted it now but cant notice that much difference , don't know much much horsepower it is supposed to add .

Hardly anything but its better for your engine. Think it averages at about 3hp  Undecided
