I removed my drivers side mirror with the help of a gate and some wind last month and had to order an entire unit Angry

When it arrived there was the main mirror and arm etc as one piece and the back body colour piece was wrapped separately. So I would imagine it is possible to order it on its own, it basically just clips on to the main housing. A small flat screwdriver in the right places would remove it I'd imagine.

Hiya,

So I'm pretty new to this. I've had my Mazda for coming up to two years - but it will go back soon and I need to fix it. I had a small accident similar to the one mentioned above - I was reversing into my driveway and the drivers mirror hit the brick wall and bent backwards! It works fine - including the mirror - but the case is cracked/smashed on the edge. Did you find a way of removing just the case? Just looking for some tips before I take a screwdriver to it and end up ripping the whole thing off!

Hi Sam
No I never did get around to replacing mine as I like you was dubious about removing the scratched one & possibly damaging the mirror

Hi, yes they do, I would have been able to show you pictures last satuday as I had to fit one to my partner's as she'd managed to knock it off somehow. I bet if you ask your dealer, if you brought the car from them nicely they'd do it for nothing...

Hiya,

Thanks for that, that really helps. Think I'll go to the dealer and enquire about it.... use the womanly skills to find out info and then just buy it cheaper somewhere else to DIY!

I'll let you know how it goes!
