Best alloy wheel size?
« on: July 09, 2017, 11:56:53 PM »
I currently have 16 inch wheels on my M2 which I got from a scrappy which were in not great condition and now have a few buckles and I'm going to get new ones but I was wondering what is the best width and diameter for the wheels would like to get 16 inches or 17 inch which would be best

Aft207....

The Mazda 2 comes with either 15" steel & alloy's or 16" alloy's.

I run 17" x 7 ET38 8H100/108

They fit nice but do load the car due to the mass and the rolling radius, ive dropped about 10mpg and slower accell....

Has the ride quality reduced much as ave the ts I got Mazda 16 inch rims but I'm going to go aftermarket now but was unsure if the ride would get much bumpier and if there was any benefits
If you say the acceleration is reduced I think I'll stick with 16 inch

Aft207...

The wife has the Tamura with the 16" on, the 17" i have are a bit harsher but iam lowered aswell...

If i could i would have gone coilovers & aftermaket 15" wider wheels...

Accell is reduced compared to standard but i am running CS SRI with a cold air duct, 2" stainless cat-back with an ECU re-flash pushing over 100bhp from the standard 74bhp....

I'm still looking at wheels I'm wanting to get the wheels more flush to the wheel arch what would be the best offset for this
