FRONT BRAKE PADS REPLACEMENT
« on: March 08, 2017, 06:41:41 PM »
Hi All.

New here so go steady, just bought the Mrs a 2009 five door Mazda 2 Tamura with FSH, asked the garage I bought it off if they would check the front brake pads before I picked it up the following week as they seemed to be making a bit of a grinding noise, usual salesman talk said the car had been stood for a while and would bed in after use. Does anyone know of a good video around on how to change the front brake pads, as I'm going to have to replace them. Thanks.

Mazzystar.....

I usually prize pads apart with large screw driver from disc, then there are two bolts that hold the caliper to the carrier....

I used this YouTube video prior to doing mine. It is an incredibly easy job to do on the Mazda2 and I took photos prior to taking the old pads out just in case. I bought Pagid brake pads from Eurocarparts by using an online code. I paid about ?27.
