Matthews1990...

There are lots of different kits available, the ballasts vary in price & quality (you get what you pay for) the bulbs the same...

Just got three kits from the same fleebay supplier & chose the bulb sets to match the main, Hi & fog lamps the car has
in originally (9005[HB3] H7 & H11 on mine).... did have to get an adapter for the normal angle eye headlight bulb, as
you will know if you've changed one there is an extra piece on the back...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-3-5-6-MX-5-CX-7-H7-Xenon-HID-Conversion-Bulb-Holder-Headlight-Base-Adaptor-/390783304364?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=Xy1j4zh7jTIBmk%252BYgMwGXY1z0JI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Bulb's are just like you would changing the normal ones, hardest part is deciding where & how to mount the ballast's....

Tom,

Shaun (cosh68) fitted these as he needed H4 Hi/Low beam units, the ballasts are all alu slim sealed units, cost more as there Bi-xenon & quality ballasts.....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/55W-DIGITAL-SLIM-BI-XENON-H4-Hi-low-8000K-DUAL-BEAMS-HID-KIT-UK-Post-/310370871250?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item48438ba7d2

Mine are a lower cost version, the lamps look similar quality, the ballasts have a plastic cover with a metal back presumably to dissapate some heat out the back to the metal bodywork....
