Wash, clay and a wax later. Didnt have time to fully clay bottom edges where it was needed. Also need longer to give the new polisher a try. But wax really brought out the shine and beads water brilliantly. These photos are after driving to the football and then to work and back (which is out on a country road). So impressed with how clean it actually stayed!

Also took the vinyl of the mirrors. The cheap stuff worked well for interior but didnt hold up outside. So used what i had left of plasti dip and matched the emblems.

Looked around for a front splitter for a while. All i could find was the Seat Cupra one. Then i came across Rhino lip. ?32 with everything needed to install. So got it last week and installed it last night. Need to take the bumper off along with the old airdam skirt (mine was quite badly scraped as it is only hard plastic). The lip screws in with self tappers but i still drilled guide holes in. A lot more secure than the Chinese tape versions. Took a few hours to get it right, corners etc a bit tricky, but eventually got it done. Would have maybe positioned it a bit further back as it sticks up a wee bit, but hopefully shall fall down slightly as it settles. Will look good when lowered.

Lowering springs have also been bought. 35mm FK on offer for just under ?20 all in with P&P. Not going to be fitting them just yet but hope to eventually.

Also painted the centre caps of the wheels to match the new colour, and sprayed the fog light surrounds. The black was quite faded so they have also gone dark grey to match wheels and emblems.

Running out of things to do now. Will maybe tint the rear windows slightly but not really sure. Not wanting to do anything major right now for insurance purposes, im still only 17 haha. But we will see in the future.

Some parts of the lip I'm not 100% happy on the position but oh well looks good from a distance haha.

Hard to keep the shine on the roads up here. One drive and it's filthy

Well lowering springs are on! Hit a bad pot hole last week and right rear shock went. So when i was replacing it thought no better time than to get it lowered.

First impressions - pretty happy. Not a huge fan of really low cars but think this height is just about right. Stock 2 is quite high so this closes the wheel gap quite nice.

Managed to finally get a rear diffuser of ebay - still waiting for it to arrive. Was advertised for 2010 on so hoping it will fit - anyone know is there a difference from 2009 to 2010 rear bumper shape etc?
If it does fit on how did others attach their on? Is it just glue or what do you do - any help would be great.

I was in a bit of a rush this morning when i held it up....

Now im home from work and had a proper look, i think its fine  ;D

I think that the rear mud flaps would have to go on after its fitted - not before. Think the are blocking it a bit.

You can see what i mean in the picture. When i first saw it like that i just jumped to it not fitting.... my bad....

Also came with the glue kit but instructions not 100% clear - will have a good look later

Josh,

Did you get the imstructions with it ? you have to cut some area round the fog lights...

Yea the mud flaps need to go on after, think the lip on them will fit over the diffuser....

I did get "some" instructions with it - also the full glue kit etc

No idea what it means by cutting around the fog light? Have you installed your one?

If so what was it like?

Cheers
